Hunsley Primary offers its pupils an excellent, child-centred education that helps them to develop as confident, lively thinkers with enquiring minds, to enable children to learn across the wider curriculum through discovery and observation, developing their ability to think, reflect and to find creative, problem-solving solutions.
Hunsley Primary opened in Melton, near Brough, in September 2015 as East Yorkshire’s first free school. We first opened our doors on our own bespoke site as part of the South Hunsley School campus and in December 2018 we moved into to our brand new building on Bluebird Way, part of the Brough South development. Hunsley Primary is led by The Education Alliance multi academy trust, benefiting also from being part of the Yorkshire Wolds Teacher Training group, putting professional development at the heart of our staff experience.
An inclusive, nurturing school with high aspiration for all its children, Hunsley Primary makes the most of its unique links with South Hunsley, offering an exciting curriculum shaped for pupils on their learning journey from 4 to 19 years of age. Our team ethos is driven by collaboration, support and development for all.
